Hubb is now the fourth Mike Brey-era guard to reach 100 assists in his rookie season.

NOTRE DAME at FLORIDA STATE – BY THE NUMBERS

1

Junior John Mooney leads all major conference players in rebounds per game in league action with a 12.4 average.

3

John Mooney is on pace to become the third Notre Dame player in the past four seasons to lead the ACC in rebounding in all games (currently at the top of the league with a 10.9 average). Zach Auguste (10.7, 2016) and Bonzie Colson (10.1, 2017) also led the ACC in rebounding. Should Mooney maintain his league-leading status, Notre Dame would become the first ACC program to have a player lead the league in rebounding three out of four seasons (and three out of six since ND joined the ACC) since Tim Duncan did it three straight years for Wake Forest from 1995-97.

6

John Mooney has grabbed 14 or more rebounds six times in ACC action – the most of any major conference player in league competition. Arizona State’s Zylan Cheatham has four such games.

6

Freshman Prentiss Hubb is sixth in the country in playing time for a true freshman from a major conference team (see page 7 for more).

8

Prentiss Hubb has become the eighth true freshman since 1972-73 to dish out 100 or more assists (Hubb has 104 entering the FSU game) in a season (see page 7 for more). He joins Chris Thomas, Tory Jackson and Eric Atkins as the fourth Brey-era guard to reach 100 (or more) assists in their rookie season.

9.7

With a 9.7 average, Notre Dame is fifth in the country in turnovers committed per game.

12.4

John Mooney is averaging 12.4 rebounds per game in ACC competition – one of just five major-conference players to average 10 or more rebounds per game in league action. Should he maintain that average, he would be the first ACC player to average over 12.3 rebounds per game since Tim Duncan (14.9) in 1997 (see page 5 for more).

14.0

Notre Dame is committing just 14.0 personal fouls per game – the third-lowest average in the country behind Loyola Chicago (13.7) and Dayton (13.9).

17

John Mooney leads the ACC (no other player has more than 11) and is tied for eighth in the country with 17 double-doubles (he is fourth in double-doubles among major conference players). He also paces the ACC in 10-rebound performances with 18 this season.

78

Junior T.J. Gibbs has scored 78 points in the past four games (20 vs. Georgia Tech; 17 at No. 4/4 Virginia; 23 vs. Wake Forest and 18 against No. 20/18 Virginia Tech), compiling an average of 19.5 ppg over that stretch.

104

Prentiss Hubb has 104 assists this season – the 10th major conference true freshman to reach that mark. Hubb is 9th in the NCAA for true freshman assists, behind national leader James Akinjo from Georgetown. He also joins Duke’s Tre Jones (133) and R.J. Barrett (110), Pittsburgh’s Xavier Johnson (124) and North Carolina’s Coby White (109) as ACC rookies with 100 assists or more this season.

200

John Mooney is the latest in a long line of juniors to make a significant leap in statistical performance during their third year in the Notre Dame program. He is on pace to become the ninth player to increase their scoring (among other statistics) 200 points or more during their junior season. See page 12 for a full breakdown.

2,105

Minutes played by the Notre Dame freshman class (Robby Carmody, Chris Doherty, Dane Goodwin, Prentiss Hubb, Nate Laszewski) – the most for any rookie class in the Mike Brey era. It is the third-most at Notre Dame since freshmen became eligible in 1972-73.
