NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The schedule for the 2017 National Soccer Coaching Seminar, to be hosted by the University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s soccer programs on March 11, has been finalized. The one-day coaching seminar will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Loftus Sports Center on the Notre Dame campus.
Headlining the 2017 National Soccer Coaching Seminar is Notre Dame men’s soccer head coach and 2013 NCAA champion Bobby Clark and Irish women’s soccer head coach and 2016 ACC champion Theresa Romagnolo, along with men’s soccer associate head coach BJ Craig, men’s soccer assistant coach Michael Casper, women’s soccer assistant coach Dawn Siergiej and women’s soccer assistant coach Nate Norman.
The guest speaker for the 2017 National Soccer Coaching Seminar is Jordan Webb, the current director of sports science at Notre Dame. Webb’s past experience in soccer includes serving as the head physical preparation coach for the Chicago Fire and as an assistant fitness coach for the Seattle Sounders of the MLS. He has also worked as the head applied sport scientist for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, and as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder. Webb’s presentation will focus on the importance and different aspects of the recovery process in student-athletes.
