Monogram Club Schedule of Events: South Florida Weekend

NOTRE DAME, Ind. –

The Monogram Club will kick off the 2011 football season with a number of events Sept. 2-3 as 16th-ranked Notre Dame prepares for its 3:30 p.m. matchup with the University of South Florida Bulls on Saturday. In addition to the Monogram Club’s regular schedule of activities, the Club will also co-sponsor a number of baseball reunion events throughout the weekend.

Friday, September 2

Baseball Monogram winners and their families are invited to the program’s open practice at Frank Eck Stadium from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., followed by a meet-and-greet with the team. There will also be a reception in the Eck Stadium Press Box from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that features complimentary food and beverages.

All dues-paying football Monogram winners/senior football managers are invited to attend the Monogram Club’s Friday Night Football Reception held in the Schivarelli Players’ Lounge located in the north end of Notre Dame Stadium (includes tailgate food, complimentary beer & wine). Football alumni may bring up to four guests to the reception. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude at 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 3

The annual baseball alumni game will kick off at 10:00 a.m. at Frank Eck Stadium, with batting practice scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Stadium gates will open by 8:30 a.m. and participants should report to the third-base dugout for check-in. Baseball Monogram winners must bring their own equipment, while the program will provide caps. To register for any of the baseball alumni weekend events, email Reggie Brooks at rbrooks2@nd.edu.

All dues-paying Monogram Club members are invited to attend the Club’s pre-game reception beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Monogram Room. Members may bring up to five guests to the event and must present a membership card to be admitted. Free food and a cash bar will be provided.

The Club’s post-game Mass will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game against USF and will be led by athletics department chaplain Rev. Paul Doyle C.S.C. ’65 in the Monogram Room. Dues-paying members and their guests are welcome to attend.
