Washington D.C. – The Notre Dame Monogram Club is launching a new initiative to reach out and connect with its membership at off campus events and locations.

The inaugural outreach event took place on February 27th, in Washington, D. C. prior to the Notre Dame men’s basketball game against Georgetown. More than 30 Monogram winners and their families from the Washington D.C. and Maryland areas gathered at the Grand Hyatt across the street from the Verizon Center for a morning of food and fellowship.

Monogram winners ranging from the 1960s through 2009 gathered for a light breakfast prior to tip off, and walked en masse to the game.

Beginning the morning together as a Monogram Club and then cheering our current student-athletes to a victory over Georgetown truly defines our motto: bridging the gap between legend and legacy.

“This was a great example of the strength of the Notre Dame family and a wonderful demonstration of fellowship,” said Monogram Club 2nd vice-president Haley Scott-DeMaria.
