NOTRE DAME, Ind. –

2012 Monogram Club Fall Schedule

The Monogram Club will host a pre-game reception and post-game Mass during every home football Saturday, as well as reunions celebrating some of Notre Dame’s most accomplished teams and athletes, to highlight the 2012 fall schedule of events on campus.

Each Monogram Club football weekend kicks off with a Friday night reception for all dues-paying football Monogram winners and senior football managers at 7:00 p.m. in the Schivarelli Football Players’ Lounge at Notre Dame Stadium. Individuals can bring up to four guests to the event.

On Saturday, the Club hosts its popular pre-game receptions three hours before kickoff in the Monogram Room. All dues-paying Monogram winners are invited to bring up to five guests to enjoy the complimentary tailgate food and a cash bar. Following each football contest, all Monogram winners are welcome to attend the Club’s post-game Mass, presided over by athletics department chaplain Rev. Paul Doyle, C.S.C. (’65). Mass commences 30 minutes after the game’s final whistle.

Once again this season, dues-paying Monogram winners will have the opportunity to form an on-field tunnel to welcome the football team into Notre Dame Stadium. Football Monogram winners and senior football managers will form the tunnel prior to the Michigan game on Sept. 22, while dues-paying Monogram winners from all other sports and programs will gather before the BYU game on Oct. 20.

In addition to these regular events, the Club will also sponsor a number of unique activities this fall. During the Michigan football weekend, baseball Monogram winners are invited back to campus to meet the 2013 Irish squad and compete in the program’s annual alumni game.

Also set to take place during the Michigan football weekend, the Monogram Club will host members of the 1977 national championship football team to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their historic season. The event will run from Sept. 21-22 and includes a Friday dinner and on-field recognition Saturday during the game against the Wolverines.

A month later during the BYU weekend Oct. 19-20, members of the 1957 and 2002 Notre Dame College World Series teams will take part in a unique reunion to celebrate the 55 and 10-year anniversaries (respectively) of their extraordinary squads. The event will include a Friday dinner and a Saturday tailgate.

In honor of the 13 Monogram winners who were part of Team USA at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, the Club and the Notre Dame athletics department will host a special recognition event during the Pittsburgh football weekend, Nov. 2-3. Look for more information about opportunities to interact with the Notre Dame Olympians during the weekend in the coming months.

In addition to on-campus events, the Club will also host a regional reception in Chicago, in conjunction with the Shamrock Series game against Miami (Fla.) on Oct. 6 at Soldier Field. The Monogram Club reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 5 at Riva Restaurant on Navy Pier from 7:30-10:00 p.m.

If you have questions about any of the above events, feel free to call the Monogram Club office at (574) 631-5450.
