MOONEY BOASTS NOTABLE ACC-ONLY REBOUND AVERAGE

Entering this week’s conference action, John Mooney is averaging 12.8 rebounds per game in ACC play. Should he maintain that average, he would be the first ACC player to average over 12.3 rebounds per game since TIm Duncan recorded a 14.9 average in 1997.

If Mooney can keep is rebound per game average above 12.0 – he would be the first ACC player to accomplish that since Sean May (12.3) in 2005.

HUBB MOVING UP THE ROOKIE ASSIST BOARD

Freshman Prentiss Hubb has been the main ball handler for the Irish throughout his rookie season and paces the team with 86 assists. He is the ninth true freshman since the class became eligible to play to post 80-or-more assists during their rookie season.

Should Hubb maintain his 3.6 assist-per-game average, he could become the fourth Mike Brey-era rookie to reach 100 assists in a season.
