Men's Soccer Match With Michigan State Officially Cancelled

Nov. 2, 2004

The University of Notre Dame has cancelled its men’s soccer match with Michigan State. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2, the match will not be played this season. Notre Dame, who recently moved to #4 in the latest NSCAA/adidas Top 25 (Nov. 2), finishes the regular season with a 13-2-2 record.

The Irish will play host to a BIG EAST Championship quarterfinal match this Saturday, Nov. 6, at Alumni Field (7:00 p.m.). Notre Dame will face either Seton Hall or Connecticut. Connecticut will play Providence on Wednesday evening and a UConn victory will push the Huskies over Seton Hall in the league standings – setting up a Seton Hall – Notre Dame quarterfinal. A Connecticut loss would send the Huskies back to Alumni Field for the second time in seven days.

Tickets for the BIG EAST Championship quarterfinal can be obtained on game day or by calling the Notre Dame Ticket Office at (574) 631-7356.
