The University of Notre Dame men’s basketball team is taking a break from competition this week to allow the Irish players a chance to focus on finals. Once finals are complete, however, the Irish will be back in action in the Joyce Center for five non-conference games before the BIG EAST opener against Louisville.

News out of the program this week included RUSSELL CARTER NAMED THE BIG EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK while Kyle McAlarney landed on the conference’s weekly honor roll. Also, remember that the TIP FOR THE LOUISVILLE GAME has been moved to 6:00 p.m. ET on Jan. 3.
