Memorial For Jim Seymour To Be Held May 6

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – A memorial for James “Jim” Seymour ’69, a record-setting wide receiver and football All-American at the University of Notre Dame, will be held on the campus of Notre Dame at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on May 6, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. Following the memorial service, there will be a reception in the Morris Inn’s Donor Room.

Seymour passed away this past March after a battle with cancer. He was 64.

When he graduated in 1969, Seymour qualified as Notre Dame’s all-time leading career receiver – with 138 catches for 2,113 yards and 16 touchdowns in his three-year varsity career from 1966-68. He was listed on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot for 2011.
