McFadden Named TopDrawerSoccer's Player Of The Week

Senior forward Aiden McFadden has been named TopDrawerSoccer’s Player of the Week following his performance in the win over Virginia on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.

McFadden was an integral part of the Irish attack and played a key role in the golden goal scored in the second overtime session to deliver Notre Dame the win. The forward rose up and won a header in the box, which a Cavalier player turned in to his own net to give the Irish the 2-1 victory.

According to TopDrawerSoccer, McFadden led Notre Dame with six chances created, as he completed 73 percent of 30 passes attempted. He also had five key passes, won 42 percent of 24 Challenges and successfully completed two of four dribbles.

McFadden and the Irish will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. ET in an ACC tilt at Pitt. The match will be broadcast on ACCN.
