LoVecchio, a true freshman, led the Irish to a 20-14 victory over Stanford last Saturday in his first start. LoVecchio marched the Irish down the field on his first drive of the game, throwing a touchdown pass to junior flanker David Givens. For the game, LoVecchio completed 10 passes on 18 attempts for 100 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 36 yards.
