Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Tabbed For Lott Watch List

NOTRE DAME, Indiana — After tying for the team lead in tackles a season ago, University of Notre Dame football senior linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List for 2020.

Owusu-Koramoah is one of 42 players named to the watch list by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academic, Community and Tenacity. The 2020 watch list represents 41 different FBS institutions and includes 16 linebackers, 15 defensive backs and 11 defensive linemen.

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Owusu-Koramoah started all 13 games for the Fighting Irish in 2019, tying with fellow linebacker Drew White to lead the squad with 80 total tackles. Owusu-Koramoah led the team with 13.5 tackles-for-loss, while also contributing 5.5 sacks, four pass break-ups, three QB hurries, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

His top performance came in Notre Dame’s Camping World Bowl win over Iowa State, where he totaled nine tackles with three sacks and a fumble recovery in a 33-9 Irish victory. His performance earned him a spot on ESPN’s 2019 All-Bowl Team. The Camping World Bowl was one of three nine-tackle performances for Owusu-Koramoah on the season, also hitting that mark against Louisville and Stanford.

Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o won the Lott IMPACT Trophy in 2012. For more information on the award, visit lottimpacttrophy.org.
