The Rotary Lombardi Award®, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Houston, is pleased to announce the 77 players who will compete for this year’s coveted award. The Rotary Lombardi Award® goes annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman, who in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Vince Lombardi. Irish graduate student defensive lineman Jayson Ademilola, senior defensive end Isaiah Foskey, junior tight end Michael Mayer and graduate student offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson were all named to the list.
Jayson Ademilola Information:
- As a senior in 2021, started all 13 games for the Irish posting 49 tackles (29 solo) and 8.0 tackles for loss.
- Among the most consistent and dependable defensive lineman out of the talented Irish frontline.
- Third on the team with 3.5 sacks and forced a fumble against Wisconsin.
- Boasts 104 career tackles, 15 tackles for loss and four sacks.
- Has appeared in 44 games during his career with the Irish.

Isaiah Foskey Information:
- As a junior in 2021, led the Irish with 11 sacks – the third-most in a single season at Notre Dame.
- Recorded a sack in nine of 13 contests, including two multi-sack performances.
- Started all 13 games for the Irish in 2021.
- Finished the year tied at 11th in the nation with 0.85 sacks per game.
- Led the defense with 12.5 tackles for loss and finished fourth overall on the team with 52 tackles.
- A ballhawk in the trenches, as he posted six of Notre Dame’s 13 forced fumbles on the season while collecting two fumble recoveries.
- Has appeared in 29 games for the Irish with 77 career tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks.

Michael Mayer Information:
- As a sophomore in 2021, led the Irish with 71 catches, a school record for tight end receptions in a season.
- Also set school single-season records for tight end receiving yards (840) and touchdown receptions (seven) in 2021.
- His 840 receiving yards were the fourth-highest for any FBS tight end in 2021.
- Averaged a team-high 70.0 receiving yards per game in 2021.
- Matched the Notre Dame record for tight end receptions in a game with nine (for 120 yards) in the 2021 season opener at Florida State.
- Notre Dame career ranks – 18th in total receptions (113), third in tight end receptions (113, record is 140), 10th in receiving yards per game (53.8), third in tight end receiving yards (1,290, record is 1,840), third in tight end touchdown receptions (nine, record is 15)
