Irish Travel to NC State to take on the Wolfpack

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are back on the road this weekend as they take on the Wolfpack for the second time this season on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m. in Raleigh, NC. The game this weekend will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

HISTORY VS. NC STATE

• The overall series between the Irish and Wolfpack was at an even 7-7 until the Wolfpack defeated the Irish in Purcell less than two weeks ago. The Irish fell in four (20-25, 25-22, 18-25, 23-25), with Lucy Trump leading Notre Dame with 13 kills and nine blocks. Winkler also tallied seven blocks and McDowell finished with six blocks. 

• Notre Dame won last season’s matchup on Nov. 12, 2021 at Purcell Pavilion where the Irish swept the Wolfpack in three (25-16, 25-17, 25-20). 

• The last loss to NC State prior to this season was on Nov. 7, 2021 on the road, where the Irish fell in a close five setter (27-25, 21-25, 25-23, 17-25, 13-15). 

•Another big win for the Irish was on March 5, 2021 as Notre Dame defeated No. 14 NC State in a three set sweep at Purcell (25-12, 25-19, 25-17).

214 – Lucy Trump is leading the team this season with 214 kills as a freshman, followed by fellow freshman Avery Ross who has recorded 204 kills.
