Tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. EST today for the Notre Dame men’s basketball team’s third-round National Invitation Tournament matchup, to be played at 7:00 p.m. EST, on Thursday, March 25, at the Joyce Center on the University of Notre Dame campus.

The Irish will meet the winner of a second-round game tonight between Oregon (16-12) and George Mason (23-9), with that game slated for Eugene, Ore. Notre Dame advanced Monday night with a 77-66 second-round win over St. Louis in Fort Wayne, Ind., in front of a capacity crowd of 11,074 at the Fort Wayne Coliseum.

Tickets for the third-round NIT matchup Thursday are $25 (loge), $20 (lower arena), $11 (bleacher) and $4 (Notre Dame students). Sales on Tuesday are limited to Notre Dame season-ticket holders and Notre Dame students. Tickets go on sale Wednesday to the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the Joyce Center Gate 10 ticket windows and by phone by calling 574-631-7356 (VISA, MasterCard, American Express accepted). Tickets are also available for students in the dining halls.

Notre Dame is making its eighth NIT appearance, after previously playing in that event in 1968, ’73, ’83, ’84, ’92, ’97 and 2000. The Irish are 22-7 overall in NIT play, including a 10-1 mark at the Joyce Center following the 71-59 Irish first-round win March 17 over Purdue. Notre Dame finished third in the NIT in ’68 and second in ’73, ’84, ’92 and 2000.
