NOTRE DAME, Ind. — In the same way that 12 members of the current University of Notre Dame softball roster have done in past summer sessions, aspiring college softball players will learn how to better improve their game during the 2017 Irish Softball Elite Camp scheduled for July 10-12 on the Notre Dame campus.

The Irish Softball Elite Camp is set to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) each day, a total of 21 hours of elite softball instruction open to all players ages 11-18. Camp locations include Melissa Cook Stadium and the Charles and Marie Doherty Batting Cages, the Frank Eck Stadium baseball batting cages, the Stinson Rugby Field and the Loftus Sports Center.

The camp will feature a mixture of hitting, defense, pitching, catching and baserunning drills, and will be highlighted by team games on field. Notre Dame’s four-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Regional Coaching Staff of the Year, along with select Irish players and guest clinicians, will serve as instructors for the duration of the camp.

The registration fee for the elite camp is $550 per player. A boxed lunch will be provided on each day of the camp. Campers will also have the chance to go through video analysis for hitting, pitching or both for an additional cash payment at check-in. The cost of video analysis is $40 for either hitting or pitching, or $65 for both.
