#14 Irish Set To Host Wolfpack & Hurricanes

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — No. 14 Notre Dame returns to ACC play with a pair of home matches this weekend against NC State & Miami. The Irish will meet NC State on Friday (March 5) at 7 p.m. ET before taking on the Hurricanes on Sunday (March 7) at 1:30 p.m. ET. Both matches are set to be streamed live via ACC Network Extra.

  • The Irish returned to action this spring with a five-set comeback victory over Valparaiso on February 18 to move to 7-1 overall.

HISTORY VS. NC STATE

  • The Irish & Wolfpack will be meeting for the 12th time on Friday with NC State holding a 6-5 edge in the all-time series.
  • The teams last met on September 29, 2019 inside Purcell Pavilion with the Irish earning a straight-set victory.
  • Charley Niego notched 10 kills in that Irish sweep and Zoe Nunez added 29 assists and eight digs in the three sets of play.

HISTORY VS. MIAMI

  • Notre Dame & Miami will be squaring off for the 16th time on Sunday and the Irish hold an 8-7 edge in the all-time series.
  • The Irish have won two of the past three meetings with Miami and will be looking to avenge a five-set defeat in Coral Gables last season (Nov. 10, 2019).
  • Caroline Meuth (20K, 11D) and Charley Niego (19K, 11D) each earned double-doubles in that five-set match at Miami a season ago.
