Oct. 10, 2012

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team will conclude its fall ball slate on Saturday with a home showdown against Navy. There is free admission to the game, which is slated for 11 a.m. (ET) at Arlotta Stadium.

Fighting Irish fans from the South Bend area and those in town for that day’s Notre Dame-Stanford football game (3:30 p.m. ET) are encouraged to come see the nationally-ranked Irish men’s lacrosse team. It will be the final time to see the Fighting Irish compete prior to the 2013 spring season.

Last Saturday, Notre Dame faced Detroit and Bellarmine in exhibition contests at Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago. Following the games, the teams took part in a youth clinic and community service activities at the school. The Fighting Irish squad also did service work at St. Malachy School in Chicago.

Notre Dame is coming off a successful 2012 campaign. The Irish posted a 13-3 record and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Championship. The Fighting Irish won the BIG EAST regular-season title with a perfect 6-0 league mark. Navy went 6-6 in 2012.
