Irish Open Spring Slate Against Ball State On Saturday

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Coming off a 2017 season that saw Notre Dame make its return to the NCAA Championship, the Irish volleyball program will look to build upon its success with four competition dates in the spring in preparation of the 2018 season.

The Irish kick off the schedule this weekend against Ball State. The Irish and Cardinals will play at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 24, at the Munciana Volleyball Club in Yorktown. The match is open to the public and free of charge.

Highlighting the spring slate is Notre Dame’s home matches against Illinois State at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, April 20, and Valparaiso at Noon on Saturday, April 28. The match against Illinois State will be played in Purcell Pavilion and the contest with Valparaiso will be played in the North Dome of the Joyce Center.

The other match of the spring is against DePaul at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 14. The match will be played at Mother McAuley High School, the home of Notre Dame standout Ryann DeJarld and incoming freshman Charley Niego.

The Irish earned their first NCAA Championships berth since the 2012 season during the 2017 campaign and finished with a record of 22-10. Notre Dame has now recorded back-to-back 20-plus win seasons for the first time since 2004 and 2005..
