SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – A 45-minute walk-through practice on Monday afternoon concluded game week preparations for the Notre Dame football team as the Irish prepped for their Insight Bowl clash with Oregon State at Bank One Ballpark in downtown Phoenix.

The walk-through gave the Irish their first look at the stadium, normally a baseball facility that serves as home to Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks. A new grass surface was freshly painted with the logos from both teams, plus the Insight Bowl insignia. The surface, installed on Dec. 18, looked to be in excellent shape. The field will be donated to a local high school after its use in Tuesday night’s game.

Notre Dame and Oregon State are set to clash in the 16th annual Insight Bowl on Tuesday night with kickoff slated for 9:47 p.m. EST (7:47 p.m. MST in Phoenix) at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN with the telecast slated to begin at 7:45 p.m. EST. The game could be delayed several minutes while ESPN’s telecast of the Independence Bowl concludes.
