Irish Earn Post Season Academic Awards

Several members of the 2020-21 University of Notre Dame Rowing Team have earned post season academic honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

Ten team members were selected to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team, while another 10 student-athletes have been named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes.

The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were established in September 2007 to be awarded annually to the top junior or senior student-athlete in their respective sports.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

Sara Clarin, Marielle Corbett, Avery Ericksen, Hana Ferrero, Victoria Gevaudan, Chloe Hemm, Keelin Klocke, Adelaide Lammers, Elizabeth May and Rosemary McGovern were named to the All-ACC Academic Team.

The CRCA National Scholar-Athletes are required to meet all eligibility requirements defined by their institution, row in her institution’s NCAA eligible boats for a minimum of 75% of the spring races, have competed in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility and post a 3.5 GPA over the course of her career.

Ferrero, Julia Finster, Gevaudan, Halena Hadi, Chloe Hemm, Klocke, Lammers, May, McGovern and Collen Visnic were the selections for the CRCA Scholar-Athlete awards.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
