ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Notre Dame got 22 second-half points from David Graves in a 81-77 win over Southern Utah on Saturday in the Great Alaska Shootout’s consolation round.

Southern Utah (2-4) led for most of the way, but with three minutes left the Irish went ahead for good when Troy Murphy hit a short jumper to make it 70-69.

Murphy added 15 for Notre Dame (2-4), and Phil Hickey and Antoni Wyche each scored 13.

The Thunderbirds got 21 points from Jim Faulkner and 18 from Kenyatta Clyde.

The Irish won the game at the foul line, hitting 22 of 30 foul shots. Graves was 10 for 10 from the foul line.

Notre Dame struggled to keep pace with Southern Utah in the first half. The Thunderbirds led by as much as 11 with three minutes to go, 33-22, but a Harold Swanagan jumper, a Wyche 3-pointer and four free throws from Jimmy Dillon and Swanagan made it 33-31 Southern Utah at the half.

Swanagan led all rebounders with 10. Faulkner had six for Southern Utah.
