Irish Compete Against Top Teams On The West Coast

The University of Notre Dame women’s rowing team finished up its weekend of competition at the San Diego Crew Classic 

“I thought the squad that went to Lubbers (on Saturday) was awesome and I am very proud of the effort they put in,” Irish head coach Martin Stone said after the competition wrapped up in San Diego. 

“I thought the group that went to San Diego raced strong. We still need to find some speed in order to compete with the top 10 teams in the nation. OverallI believe it was a strong weekend of racing.” 

The San Diego Crew Classic field featured Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association top-ranked team Stanford along with No. 3 Washington and No. 4 Texas along with SMU, Washington State and the Irish who all earned votes in the latest national poll.
