NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame fans traveling to East Lansing for next week’s football game versus Michigan State also will have the chance to watch the Irish baseball squad in action under first-year head coach Mik Aoki.
The Notre Dame and Michigan State baseball teams will play a fall exhibition game at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18 at McLane Baseball Stadium. The game will count towards each team’s 2011 spring limit of 56 dates but the result will not be included in either team’s spring record and will have no bearing on selection to the NCAA Championship.
Tickets for the baseball game are free.
The Irish and Spartans met in an exhibition baseball game during the fall of 1999. Notre Dame was victorious over the Spartans, 9-5.
