Please note that the NCAA legislated the following restrictions on the amount of hours student-athletes may be required to participate in their respective sports in and out of season. These hours are closely followed and documented by our coaching staffs and the athletics compliance office.

IN SEASON

  • 20 hours per week and a maximum of 4 hours per day
  • 1 required day off per week
  • No practice activities permitted after competition

OUT OF SEASON

  • 8 hours per week and a maximum of 4 hours per day
  • 2 required days off per week
  • Individual skill instruction is limited to 2 of the 8 hour weekly limit

REMEMBER

  • Weekly hour limitations do not include any voluntary activity (without coaching staff supervision)
  • No hourly/weekly limitations during official vacation periods (Fall Break, Christmas Break, & Spring Break)
