Notre Dame and Western Michigan meet for the second time this weekend following Friday’s 3-2 win in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Irish are 2-0-1-1 versus the Broncos this season. Anders Lee scored twice in the game, including the game winner on the power play at 15:03 of the third period. The two teams have met 75 times in the all-time series with the Broncos holding a 37-31-7 lead. At the Joyce Center, Notre Dame is 20-12-2 against the Broncos and are 6-0-1 in the last seven meetings. The Irish enter the game with a 21-9-5 overall mark and an 18-6-3-2 record, good for 59 points, and a one point lead on second place Michigan. The Wolverines play tonight at Northern Michigan. An Irish win or a Michigan loss gives Notre Dame the CCHA regular season title. Western Michigan is 15-10-10 on the year and 9-9-9-5 in conference play and starts the night in fifth place.
