Hockey Adds Goaltender Josh Graziano

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame hockey head coach Jeff Jackson has announced the addition of transfer goaltender Josh Graziano for the 2021-22 season. He will be joining the Fighting Irish as a sophomore.

“Josh is a big goaltender with good athleticism and mobility,” Jackson said. “He has limited college experience but had very good statistics in junior hockey this past year. His attitude and work ethic will be critical to his development and potential opportunity to play in the future.”

Graziano most recently spent the 2020-21 campaign with New Mexico Ice Wolves and Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League and posted a 13-4-3 record along with a .931 save percentage.

The Buffalo, New York, native appeared in four contests with Union College (ECAC) in 2019-20 before spending last season in the NAHL.

Graziano also made four appearances for the U.S. National Team Development Program in 2017-18 and was selected to USA Hockey’s Select 15, 16 and 17 Camps from 2016-18.

The netminder played for the Nichols School (Buffalo, N.Y.) from 2015-17 and made additional junior appearances for the Coulee Region Chill (NAHL – 2017-18), Madison Capitols (USHL – 2018-19), Brooks Bandits (AJHL – 2018-19) and Brantford 99ers (OJHL – 2018-19).
