In the news recently: the University of Kentucky self-reported secondary violations related to a recruiting website run by a representative of their athletics interests. In particular the booster was operating a website that attempted to create a recruiting network for Kentucky football and to encourage other fans to assist by contacting prospects on Kentucky’s behalf. The website was also collecting information on prospects from fans and relaying the information to University of Kentucky coaches.
Be aware that a representative of athletic interests cannot be involved in the recruiting process. If you are aware of a prospect in your area, you may contact the coaching staff at the University of Notre Dame in order to pass along the information. You may not have any contact with the prospect in order to speak on behalf of Notre Dame.
Remember to ask before you act!
