Tom Puzio Named Sports Promotions Coordinator
Former promotions coordinator will handle marking and promotional duties for several Irish Olympic sports.

Notre Dame, Ind. – Tom Puzio has been named Sports Promotions Coordinator at Notre Dame. In his role, he will handle marketing and promotional duties for several Irish Olympic sports.

Prior to his appointment at Notre Dame, Puzio had served as promotions coordinator at the University of Colorado for two-plus years. While at the Boulder, Colo., school, he coordinated promotional activities for the Buffalo women’s basketball, volleyball and soccer programs and served as game operations manager for those three sports. In addition, he assisted with marketing and promotional efforts for the football program and men’s basketball programs.

Puzio’s first stint in college athletics began at his alma mater, Colorado State University, where he was a marketing and development assistant from 1997-2000. In that job, he oversaw all game-day promotion for the football, volleyball and basketball programs and assisted with the implementation and planning of several golf tournaments and special events. For two years, he also served as a special marketing assistant to the head volleyball coach.

Puzio coordinated the marketing efforts for the first and second rounds of the 1999 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship and served as co-coordinator of a match between the USA Volleyball Team and Korea hosted at Colorado State in 2000.

A native of Boulder, Colo., he received his bachelors of arts degree in speech and communications with an emphasis on communication theory from Colorado State in 2000. He and his wife Kristen will reside in South Bend.
