FOR STARTERS

  • The Irish are back on the road to take on Yale in a neutral site matchup on Sunday March 20 at 12 p.m. EST.
  • The game will be at the Paradise Sports Complex in Naples, FL. 
  • There will be live stats available and the matchup will be streamed on ESPN+.
  • Notre Dame is coming off a 2021 campaign in which it finished 11-7 and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.

THE NOTRE DAME – YALE SERIES

  • The Irish and Bulldogs will be meeting for the third time on Sunday with Notre Dame holding a 4-3 advantage in the all-time series.
  • Notre Dame and Yale last met on March 13, 2012 when the Irish earned a 15-9 victory over the Bulldogs.
  • In the last meeting, Notre Dame scored the first 10 goals of the game jumping out to a dominate lead against Yale.
  • The last three Notre Dame versus Yale matchups have been at neutral sites in Florida.

CHOMA RANKED NATIONALLY

  • Kasey Choma was tabbed 34th in the nation by Inside Lacrosse in December of 2021.
  • In her career, she has played in 25 games, scoring 67 goals on 131 shots. She has picked up 29 ground balls, and 29 draw controls.
  • She currently sits second on the team in goals with 13 over five games, and has scored at least one goal in all five contests.
  • Choma is also tied for first on the team with Diana Kelly in draw controls with 19 each.

AHERN ON ATTACK

  • Madison Ahern leads the Irish squad so far in the 2022 season with 20 goals. 
  • She notched her 100th career point against the Virginia Cavaliers in a 12-10 Irish win.
  • Ahern tied her career high with six goals against #3 Syracuse on February 26, 2022.
  • She has scored a goal at least two goals in four of five contests, with four hat tricks this season.

100 Point CLub

  • In the 2022 season, two Irish have notched their 100th career point.
  • Kasey Choma tabbed her 100th point in the 20-5 victory over Jacksonville on March 13.
  • Madison Ahern tallied her 100th career point in the thrilling 12-10 victory over the ranked #13 Virginia Cavaliers.
  • There are three active players who have surpassed the 100 career points mark; Maddie Howe, Kasey Choma, and Madison Ahern.

DAUGHTERS FOR DADS/COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • Notre Dame Women’s Lacrosse annually dedicates a portion of their season to raise awareness and funding for the Harper Cancer Research Institute through their Daughters for Dads (D4D) campaign.
