The University of Notre Dame football team held its eighth practice of the 2006 season on Monday, Aug. 14. In the team’s second ‘two-a-day’ – the Irish held a relaxed special teams workout in the morning before a key scrimmage in Notre Dame Stadium Monday evening.

Coach Weis, in his previous post-practice interview sessions that you can view on by clicking here, has pointed out that Monday’s scrimmage will be a key step to establishing the team’s depth chart for the early portion of the ’06 season.

This evening’s scrimmage is completely closed off to the media – and there will be on player/coach availability afterward. The next practice update on will be on Tuesday, Aug. 15 when the team holds a single session from 3 – 5 p.m. EDT.
