March 30, 1999

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Senior attack Chris Dusseau (Columbus, Ohio) has been named the Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week after scoring two goals in Notre Dame’s 10-8 win over Hobart on Saturday.

Dusseau, who is tied for third in the scoring column with 13 goals and two assists, keyed the start of the second half for Notre Dame when his back-to-back goals early in the third quarter gave the Irish a 7-4 advantage.

Dusseau stands 12th on the all-time Notre Dame career scoring list with 95 goals and 11 assists (106 points). His 95 goals ties him for fourth with Robbie Snyder (1991-94) on the all-time career goals scored list. Dusseau, one of the team’s co-captains this season, has started all 43 games during his career and has led Notre Dame in goals scored in each of his three previous seasons.

Dusseau is the third Irish player to earn GWLL Player of the Week honors. Currently, the Irish are 4-2 on the season and ranked 13th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association ranking.
