The game, an Indiana Ice home game, is being moved to the Compton Family Ice Arena due to a scheduling conflict at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind.

The USHL is the only Tier 1 hockey league in the United States and plays a key role in developing players for the Division I college hockey ranks. Indiana is second in the USHL in scoring and the Ice offensive attack features two of the league’s top five scorers in Daniil Tarasov who is second in the league with 84 points on 44 goals and 40 assists and Sean Kuraly who is tied for fifth overall with 30 goals and 36 assists for 66 points. Forward Robbie Baillergeon is third on Indiana’s stat sheet in scoring and is tied for 22nd in the league with 14 goals and 33 assists for 47 points.

Des Moines is currently seventh in the USHL’s Western Conference and is 20-32-6 for 46 points on the seasForwards Anthony Greco (20g, 23a, 43 points) and Gasper Kopitar (24g, 13a, 37 points) lead the Buccaneers scoring attack.

Two members of this year’s Notre Dame team – freshman Peter Schneider (Vienna, Austria) and sophomore T.J. Tynan (Orland Park, Ill.) – are alums of the Indiana and Des Moines organizations. Schneider played for the Ice last season and Tynan was a member of the USHL all-rookie team while a member of the Buccaneer’s roster in 2009-10.
