Notre Dame and Boston College are set for their showdown to determine the BIG EAST regular-season title, with Virginia Tech also sitting in a three-way tie for the league regular-season title (the Hokies play host to West Virginia in the final weekend). The top four teams advance to the BIG EAST Tournament (each of the above three teams would clinch a spot with one more win, or other results pending the Rutgers-St. John’s and Pittsburgh-Connecticut series).
