PITTSBURGH, Pa.– Notre Dame’s baseball team was rained out of the third game in its three-game BIG EAST series at Three Rivers Stadium against Pittsburgh. The Irish beat the Panthers 11-0 and 12-1 on Saturday.

The rain out is the 13th game Notre Dame has lost due to weather in six different states this season.

This marks the thirteenth baseball rainout for the Irish in six states this season. The two teams will be unable to make up the game due to scheduling conflicts with final exams at Pittsburgh. Notre Dame will attempt to add another game to its schedule against an alternate opponent to make up for the lost game.

Notre Dame, which leads the BIG EAST with a 10-0 record, returns to the field when it travels to Grand Rapids, Mich., for a 7:00 p.m. game against Michigan at Comstock Park.
