Game Credentials: All requests for working press, photo and broadcast credentials for Notre Dame’s 2018 home football games must be made through the online credential service at UND.com/credentials. Credential requests must be submitted by the assigning sports editor or sports director prior to 7 p.m. ET Thursday the week before each home game in question. If a media outlet needs to change an existing application, please contact Matt Paras at mparas1@nd.edu.

Because of the demand for credentials and the limited space available, media agencies covering the visiting school on a regular basis receive top priority. All other credentials for print media are issued on the basis of circulation. Only local radio stations with a full-time sports director conducting a daily sports show receive consideration for credentials. Non-originating, out-of-town radio stations cannot be accommodated.

Credential Distribution: Media credentials will neither be mailed nor will be available for early pickup. Credentials will ONLY be distributed on game day at the Hammes Auditorium (the Joyce Center’s basketball interview room, located between Gates 1 and 2). Media will call opens at 10 a.m. ET for all home games, except the Michigan, Stanford and Florida State games, when it opens at 2 p.m. ET. A government-issued ID is required for pickup and each individual must claim only his/her own pass.

Parking: Parking requests will be accommodated on a space-available basis. If approved, parking passes will be shipped via FedEx no later than the Wednesday before a game to either the sports editor/director or designated attendee using the media outlet’s FedEx account number. Parking passes may also be picked up prior to Saturday outside Isban Auditorium at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex before regularly scheduled football media opportunities. Parking passes cannot be picked up on campus on game day.

Game Credentials – Notre Dame Men’s Basketball requests for working media on assignment for a professional organization (written press, online media, photo, etc.) will go through the Notre Dame Men’s Basketball online credential application that will open in fall.  Email requests will not be accepted.  All requests for credentials should be made at least 48 hours prior to each game. Credentials will be granted to accredited media only. Spouses, children and guests are not permitted in the press box area in Purcell Pavilion.

NBA Scouts – NBA scouts requesting credentials for scouting purposes should also request credentials through our online application.

Photographers – Credentialed photographers are not permitted to shoot in front or behind the team benches, the scorer’s table or press row. All photographers will have access to the Photo Work Room on the game floor level of Purcell Pavilion (exit via the ramp utilized by the visiting team – across from their bench, then take your first left, the room will be on your left). The room is equipped with tables and chairs for photographers to set up their equipment and computers and Wi-Fi access for photo uploads.

Post-Game Media – Selected Notre Dame student-athletes, the visiting coach and Glenn and Stacey Murphy Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Brey will be available in the Hammes Basketball Auditorium, located in between Gate 1 and Gate 2 of the Joyce Center. Media should exit the press box, go through the doors to the right that lead to Heritage Hall then take the stairway to your left down toward Gate 1. Visiting post-game player interview requests should be made to the visiting team athletics communications director.

Credential Pick Up – Media credentials can be picked up at media will call at the Media entrance at Gate 1. Credentials can be picked up 2 hours before game time for men’s basketball games.

Media Entrance – The media entrance for men’s and women’s basketball games is Gate 1 of the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center. Press Row – The working press area at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center is located in the upper press box just outside of Heritage Hall.  Media should enter the arena through Gate 1 and then proceed up the stairs to the press box. If you are a photographer or videographer, Fighting Irish Media staff will provide specific shooting assignments on a game-by-game basis.
