Notre Dame vs. No. 2 Louisville Frank Eck Staidum 4:05 p.m.
Pints 4 Pete Legends 8-10 p.m.

Pete Frates was Mik Aoki’s captain during the skipper’s first season as head coach at Boston College.

When Frates was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic laterals sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2012, his crusade to educate the public and find a cure began. It took the nation by storm in 2014 with the Ice Bucket Challenge.

To do his part, Aoki has hosted an annual ALS awareness game at Notre Dame. The tradition began in 2014 when Boston College and the Irish met for a series in Chicago. It continues this year when No. 2 Louisville visits Frank Eck Stadium on Saturday, May 6.

In 2015, Aoki added a new element, with him and his wife, Sue, hosting Pints 4 Pete. With the Irish on the road for the worldwide date this season (May 18), the Aoki’s will host the South Bend edition of the Pints 4 Pete fundraiser after the game Saturday at Legends on the Notre Dame campus. The event will run from 8-10 p.m. at the restaurant just south of Notre Dame Stadium.

Silent auction items will be up for bid at both the game and Pints 4 Pete. In addition, Notre Dame will hold an online auction of the game-worn jerseys, featuring the Pete Frates #3 Fund ribbon on the sleeve.

Check back to this page and stay tuned to the @NDBaseball Twitter account for more details on the auctions.

All proceeds generated will benefit the Pete Frates #3 Fund. For more information, visit PeteFrates.com.
