Alex Steeves Named B1G Second Star of the Week

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame junior forward Alex Steeves has been named the Big Ten’s Second Star of the Week (Feb. 23) for the second time this season after a four-point, three-goal weekend at fifth-ranked Wisconsin.

After a two-point (G, A) performance in game one last weekend, Steeves netted a pair of third-period goals last Saturday to help the Irish erase a two-goal deficit and earn a come-from-behind tie against #5 Wisconsin. Notre Dame went on to earn a second point in the Big Ten standings in the shootout.

Steeves leads the Irish with 26 points and 13 goals in 24 games this season and has earned at least one point in 17 of those 24 contests.

In his career, Steeves has totaled 31 goals and 63 points in 99 games for Notre Dame.
