15 Named Academic All-ACC

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team found success both on and off the field this season, advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals and setting a program record for most Academic All-ACC honorees in the process. Fifteen individuals were named to the ACC Academic Team at the end of the 2022-23 season, including five multiple-time recipients.

This year’s team consists of three Irish seniors in Madison Ahern, Kasey Choma and Jane McAvoy, while fifth-year graduate student Hannah Dorney earned her first career honor. Juniors Lilly Callahan, Kelly Denes, Mary Kelly Doherty, Abby Maichin, Aine Maseker, Ali McHugh and Keelin Schlageter also earned the award while Julia Carr and Grace Weigand represented the Irish sophomore class. Abigail Lyons and Anna Kenney represented the Irish freshmen class to be named to the conference team.

To be recognized, individuals must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher and have participated in at least 50-percent of the team’s games that season.
