Women's Tennis Falls to North Carolina at Home

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to the visiting North Carolina Tar Heels Friday night. The Irish had four singles flights go into the third set, but couldn’t find the wins it needed. Notre Dame falls to 7-4 on the season with the loss, while North Carolina improves to 12-0.

Meghan Freeman and Maria Olivia Castedo teamed up for a 6-2 victory at No.1. Nibedita Ghosh and Julia Andreach teamed up for a 6-4 victory at No. 3 to secure the doubles point.

Page Freeman, Ghosh, Yashna Yellayi and Castedo played three sets in singles. Yellayi battled to a 6-4 final set as she suffered the loss.
