Women's Lacrosse to Appear on ESPN3 Four Times

Feb. 6, 2014

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Fighting Irish fans around the globe will have several chances to watch the No. 11 Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team in action this spring as the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the league’s seasonal broadcast schedule today.

Notre Dame’s home conference games against No. 8 Virginia on April 5, No. 6 Duke on April 11 and No. 3 Syracuse on April 19 will all be streamed live on ESPN3 and available globally via WatchESPN. In addition, the Irish’s first-ever ACC road contest, at No. 1 North Carolina on Feb. 27, will be shown on ESPN3.

Every game of the ACC Tournament will be available to fans either over the airwaves or online. The first two quarterfinals from Boston College’s Alumni Stadium on April 24 will be broadcast over regional sports networks while the ACC Digital Network will offer a web stream of the second pair of quarterfinal games. Both of the semifinal games on April 25 and the championship game on April 27 would air live over regional sports networks.

Several Notre Dame home contests this spring will be available for Irish fans to watch for free online at WatchND.tv. All Fighting Irish home games that are played outdoors at Arlotta Stadium (other than the afore mentioned trio of ESPN3 games) will be streamed live by WatchND. Unfortunately, technical issues prevent Fighting Irish Digital Media from providing a live video stream of any home games played indoors at the Loftus Sports Center. Decisions on the venue for each home contest will be made regularly as the season progresses based upon the current weather and field conditions.

The Irish return 17 monogram winners from the 2013 team that went 12-5, qualified for the NCAAs and was ranked as high as No. 5 during the season. The 2014 season gets underway for Notre Dame with a home scrimmage against Michigan on Saturday Feb. 8 at 7:45 p.m. For season ticket information, logon to UND.com or call (574) 631-7356.
