Andie Aldave Tabbed IWLCA National Player of the Week

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Sophomore midfielder Andie Aldave was named Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Division I Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday afternoon (March 20).

On Tuesday, Aldave was also named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week after a five-point (3G, 2A) effort in Notre Dame’s 10-9 win at Virginia last Saturday. Aldave scored the game-winning goal against the Cavaliers with just 1:30 remaining in regulation.

Last Wednesday, Aldave also helped the Irish earn a 15-4 win at VCU by recording a goal, an assist and 12 draw controls.

In eight contests this season, Aldave ranks second on the Irish with 32 points (20G, 12A) and boasts a team-high 64 draw controls. Entering play this week, she ranks fifth in the nation and second in the ACC with an average of eight draw controls per game.
