BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Jenny Chiang placed 24th and Allison Casareto checked in at 54th in the 3-meter event Friday during the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships at Indiana University’s Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.

Chiang, who qualified for the NCAA Championships one day earlier with a second-place finish off the 1-meter board, racked up 263.80 points in the preliminary session.

Casareto posted a 205.15 to complete her debut at the meet.

Neither diver advanced to the final round, which included the top 18 divers from the preliminary session. Bianca Alvarez of Ohio State won the event after totaling 772.45 points across the pair of sessions.

Chiang now looks forward to joining Irish swimmers Emma Reaney and Kelly Ryan at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships set to take place next week at the Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala.
