MALIBU, Calif. — The 13th-ranked Notre Dame women’s tennis team saw its five-match winning streak snapped in a 7-2 loss at ninth-ranked Pepperdine on Saturday. The Waves won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches for the win. The Irish return to action when they play host to 70th-ranked Kansas on Mon., March 27 at 4:00 p.m.

Sophomore Lindsey Green won the only Irish singles match with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Dorothee Kurz at No. 5 singles. The Waves won three singles matches after losing the first set and two other singles matches in straight sets to clinch the match with five singles wins.

Green and senior Kelly Zalinski won the only Irish doubles match with an 8-3 win over 45th-ranked Kurz and Maren Mueller at No. 2 doubles. Pepperdine wrapped up the win with victories at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles.
