RIVIERA, Calif. — Notre Dame sophomore women’s tennis player Michelle Dasso won two rounds, and senior All-American Jennifer Hall went 1-1 in the consolation at the Riviera Womens All-American Championships at the Riviera Tennis Club, the second of four legs of the collegiate grand slam.

The 17th-ranked Dasso beat Vanderbilt’s 28th-ranked Julie Ditty 6-4, 6-1 in the first round and Fresno State’s 22nd-ranked Dora Djilianova 6-2, 6-0 in the second round of the consolation. Dasso lost earlier to Dukes top-seeded Vanessa Webb, the 1998 NCAA women’s singles champion, in the first round of the main draw on Thursday.

The 23rd-ranked Hall beat Arizona State’s 24th-ranked Karin Palme 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of the consolation before losing a tight 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 match to Duke’s 35th-ranked Meghan Miller.
