Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame women’s lacrosse coach Tracy Coyne has announced her team’s 2005 fall schedule. The schedule includes three home games, two away games and participation in the Northwestern Fall Classic in October. The Irish start the fall schedule this weekend when they travel to William & Mary and Old Dominion.
On Friday, Sept. 23, Notre Dame visits Williamsburg, Va., for a 6:00 p.m. (EST) game versus William and Mary. On Sunday, Sept. 25, Coyne’s team will be in Norfolk, Va., for an 11:00 a.m. game against Old Dominion.
Notre Dame returns home to face the Michigan Club Team on Saturday, Oct. 1 in an 11:30 a.m. contest at Moose Krause Stadium. One week later, the Irish play host to the University of Denver on Saturday, Oct. 8 in a 12:00 noon game at Moose Krause Stadium.
The following day, Sunday, Oct. 9, both the Irish and Denver will travel to Evanston, Ill., to play in the Northwestern Fall Classic, a four-team round robin tournament, featuring Notre Dame, Denver, Northwestern and Ohio State. At Northwestern, the Irish will play Denver from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Ohio State from 11:25 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. and then Northwestern from 2:55 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
Notre Dame then closes out the fall schedule on Friday, Oct. 21 when the Irish play host to their Alumni Team in a 7:30 p.m. game at Moose Krause Stadium. That game is part of the Brigham Young football weekend on the Notre Dame campus.
