Head coach Muffet McGraw and the Fighting Irish have signed their third consecutive top-10 recruiting class, and 14th straight top-25 class, it was announced Friday.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Fans of the Notre Dame women’s basketball program now have yet another way to keep up with the Fighting Irish through the development of the nation’s fastest growing on-line social network, Twitter. Recently, the Notre Dame women’s basketball program unveiled its own official Twitter page at twitter.com/NOTREDAMEWBB, where fans can stay connected with everything going on behind the scenes inside the Fighting Irish program during the summer and on into the start of the 2009-10 season.

Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw is a regular contributor to the team’s Twitter page, with her famed “Quote of the Day” and “Fun Facts”, while senior point guard Melissa Lechlitner and assistant coach Angie Barber have also sent out numerous updates during the page’s first month of existence.

Twitter is a free social networking service that allows its users to send and read updates, also known as “tweets.” Tweets can be received on a user’s cell phone via text or on the web.
