While No. 8 Notre Dame and Rutgers get set to battle on the Purcell Pavilion hardwood at 2 p.m. (ET) today, the teams also will be supporting the greater battle that is the fight against breast cancer. Today’s game has been designated as Notre Dame’s annual Pink Zone game, part of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) national initiative to raise funds for breast cancer research, with the Fighting Irish set to wear special white/pink uniforms and pink shoes as part of the many Pink Zone events surrounding the game itself.
If you can’t be there in person at today’s game (a limited number of tickets may become available – call the Murnane Family Ticket Office at 574-631-7356, visit the ticket windows at Gate 9 of Purcell Pavilion or go on-line to UND.com/tickets), join us right here on our live blog — we’ll have in-progress updates, polls and interactive Q & A with you, the fans … it’s a whole new way to enjoy Fighting Irish women’s basketball this season!
