NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The 1999-2000 Notre Dame men’s and women’s swimming and diving squads will play host to Texas Christian University Saturday for a double-dual meet at Rolfs Aquatic Center at 1 p.m.
The Notre Dame men, who are 0-1 this season, are coming off a second- place finish at the Early Bird Invitational at Colorado State two weeks ago in Fort Collins, Colo.
The Irish women (2-0) defeated both Metro State and Colorado State in their first two dual meets of the season two weeks ago in Denver, Colo. The women divers then dominated their events at the Early Bird Invitational, with sophomore Heather Mattingly and senior Gina Ketelhohn sweeping first and second place in one and three-meter diving.
The last time either of the two schools met was in 1997 when the TCU men defeated the Notre Dame men, 139-123, at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The loss to the Horned Frogs turned out to be Notre Dame’s only dual meet loss of the season, as the team went on to finish with an 11-1 record.
