Notre Dame, Ind. – William Peck, a 2006 Notre Dame graduate, has been named assistant equipment manager for varsity sports.

A former four-year student manager, Peck served the past year as an equipment intern at Colorado State. While a student manager at Notre Dame, he worked for two years with the Irish softball program and served as head manager in his senior year.

A two-time monogram winner, he interned during training camp and preseason with the San Francisco 49ers and was the recipient of the McPherson Award.

Peck served as a volunteer assistant offensive line coach at Mishawaka (Ind.) High School during the 2005 football season. He also was a member of the Notre Dame Band and Concert Band from 2002-04.

He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in theology from the College of Arts and Letters.
